January 23, 2012 – Azhar & Azhar Law Firm Secures Asylum for Iranian Client Based on Religious Persecution
On January 23, 2012 Azhar & Azhar Law Firm secured asylum for our client from Iran. Our client was a medical doctor in Iran and came to the US in January of 2011 in order to visit friends. However, during her stay in the US, she made the decision to change religions. After making the decision not to return to her country for fear of religious persecution, she hired the attorneys at Azhar & Azhar Law Firm to advance her asylum claim with USCIS.
The attorneys at Azhar & Azhar Law Firm completed her I-589 and affidavit, and appeared with her at her interview at the Houston Asylum Office. On January 23, 2012, we learned that our client’s application for asylum had been approved by USCIS.
