Our client, a citizen of Bangladesh, had previously been placed in removal proceedings and ordered deported by an immigration judge. Eventually, the case was terminated, and his son became a US citizen. When he filed for adjustment of status, USCIS mistakenly closed the case thinking he was still in deportation proceedings. The client hired attorney Furqan, and Furqan re-filed the adjustment of status paperwork with USCIS. USCIS eventually scheduled him for an interview, where attorney Furqan was also present. Shortly after the interview, his case was approved.
